The Fruit That I've Become Zine

The Fruit That I’ve Become – Zine
This zine was created alongside my solo exhibition The Fruit That I’ve Become. It gathers the stories, images, and reflections that shaped the works in the show, serving as a companion to the artworks themselves.
The pages weave together personal memories from my childhood in a knitting factory, my parents’ lifelong knitting practice, and my own journey as a mural artist traveling across cities and countries. Through drawings, photographs, and text, the zine unfolds how threads of family, distance, and collaboration have become part of my practice.
Inside, you’ll find writing by Rupa Bali, my own reflections on growing up in a knitting factory, and glimpses into the making of this exhibition—from early sketches to work-in-progress notes. It also documents knitting collaborations with my parents—moments where our hands worked together, bridging time, love, and craft. Behind-the-scenes photographs and notes add an intimate layer, opening up the process of how the exhibition came to life.
The zine is both a record and a reflection: a way to carry the exhibition beyond the gallery walls, and a reminder that art is not only about what is seen, but also about the relationships, memories, and stories that make it possible.
