Panel Discussion, Terra Nexus Exhibition - Bali, Indonesia

As part of the Terra Nexus exhibition at ART&Bali, I joined a panel discussion alongside curator Mona Liem, Nus Salomo, and the Susur Gallur Collective, moderated by Christine G. Toelle. The conversation explored how exhibitions can engage audiences, the role of new media art in contemporary practices, and how curated spaces shape the experience of visitors. I spoke about my artwork Flowing Passage, which was displayed at the entrance of the gallery. I shared the concept behind the rat motifs, the technical approach, and the material choices, reflecting on how these elements communicate narrative and invite viewers into the exhibition. The discussion also touched on the broader dialogue between curatorial intention and artistic expression, highlighting how exhibitions can create meaningful interactions between the artwork and its audience. Participating in this panel offered a chance to exchange ideas with fellow artists and curators about contemporary art practices in Indonesia and beyond.
