"Shine in Your Shape" Mixed Media Work

"Shine in Your Shape is part of The Fruit That I Have Become: Seeds of Continuation — a series that reflects personal growth, family connection, and the quiet power of transformation.
Shine in Your Shape celebrates individuality and the quiet confidence that comes from embracing who we truly are. I created this piece as a reminder that we don’t need to change our shape to be radiant, our strength lies in our uniqueness.
Framing the painting is a hand-knitted braid, made in collaboration with my parents. It acts like a soft armor, tender but strong, wrapping the work with warmth and care. The braid reflects our interconnectedness: how we’re shaped not only by ourselves but also by the people who support us through life. Each loop carries their presence, patience, and the texture of home.
