"Woven Dreams" For Tangi Street Art Festival Bali

"Woven Dreams"
Tangi Street Art Festival, Bali, Indonesia (2023)

Yessiow was one of the invited artists for the first edition of Tangi Street Art Festival, themed Paras Paros, meaning “spirit of togetherness.” The festival aimed to use street art as a tool to uplift the energy of young people in the community, fostering creativity and collective spirit through public art.

Her mural, Woven Dreams, celebrates unity and support among women in the male-dominated world of street art. Depicting three women braiding each other’s hair, the piece symbolizes strength, care, and the shared encouragement that women give one another.

Through this work, Yessi highlights the importance of reclaiming space, defying stereotypes, and creating a more inclusive community where women’s voices are seen and valued. Woven Dreams stands as a visual reminder of the inherent power and creativity within every woman encouraging them to pursue their artistic passions fearlessly and continue weaving connections across the urban landscape.
