"Titik Temu" For The Crystal Ship Ostende

In March-April 2025, Yessiow and Stijn were invited to paint a mural at The Crystal Ship Oostende, one of Yessiow’s dream festivals to be part of. Belgium is their second home, and it meant so much for Yessiow to create something for the people there, for friends and family. She was deeply grateful for the chance to share space with incredible artists from all over the world and to create memories she will carry for a long time.

The festival’s theme that year was change, and Yessiow wanted to explore that idea through a lens that feels personal and ongoing. In the world of street art particularly in Indonesia, the scene has long been male-dominated. But things are shifting. Slowly, more women are picking up the brush, claiming the walls, and telling their stories.
“Titik Temu,” which means meeting point, is a mural about connection, recognition, and the evolving presence of women in street art. Two women, perhaps reflections of one another, perhaps strangers, gently reach out to meet at the fingertips. It’s a quiet, powerful gesture that speaks to solidarity, growth, and the change that happens when women are seen, supported, and celebrated.
