Knit Soft Sculpture

My knitted sculptures are built through repetition, patience, and shared labor. The works are created using long, hand knitted textile forms that are twisted, stacked, and assembled into sculptural structures. Color plays an important role, not as decoration, but as a way to guide movement, rhythm, and emotional tone within the form.

This work grows from a close collaboration with my parents, who have worked with knitting for most of their lives. Through this process, I learn directly from their techniques, habits, and ways of working, translating domestic knowledge into a contemporary sculptural language. The act of knitting becomes both a material process and a form of listening.

Installed in public and semi public spaces, these sculptures invite physical closeness. People can see, touch, pause, or gather around them. The works are meant to be experienced over time, not only seen. They speak about intergenerational exchange, care, and how slow making can create space for connection in fast environments.
