This October, I had the honour to team up with Kmall Jakarta to showcase our collaborative installation at Art Jakarta 2025. The installation was part of their campaign for the mall's opening.

Fragments of a Larger Story 1.0 and 2.0

This tree is only a fragment of a much larger story.
It does not stand alone.
It grows in dialogue with the people around it.

Every branch that stretches outward, every leaf and texture carries the memory of connection. At its core, the tree reminds us that identity and creativity are not always found somewhere far away. Often they come from what is already near, from the relationships we nurture, the stories we inherit, and the gestures we share with others.

Like a puzzle that only finds meaning when all the pieces come together, the tree becomes fuller as more hands add to it. Every contribution, small or big, becomes part of its form.

As it grows, the tree becomes more than a symbol. It becomes a living archive of togetherness. It holds how creativity expands when it is shared, how ideas flourish when exchanged, and how growth is rarely a solitary act. It is built collectively.

This tree is not just about what is seen. It is about what is felt when people gather, create, and allow themselves to be part of something larger than themselves.
